Cliff understands that buying or selling a home is a BIG deal for most of us! In a typical real estate transaction, there are multiple players and many, many transaction details. Over the years Cliff has guided his clients to successful closings using his diplomacy, astute negotiating skills, excellent communication as well as his personal touch. And if a curve ball is thrown, Cliff is there to catch it! His goal is to make the home buying or selling experience both fun and anxiety-free. One client remarked upon closing escrow that Cliff is both a "agent AND a counselor!"
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Cliff attended UC Berkeley for two years, originally to pursue a degree in Computer Science. Midway through, he decided to transfer to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he obtained his Mechanical Engineering degree. After making the move to San Diego, Cliff began his 26-year engineering career that has spanned everything from structural analysis to managing a department of 44 employees. During this time Cliff purchased homes in Lemon Grove, University Heights, and College View Estates. Along the way, he also purchased investment properties. While utilizing his photographic skills to produce real estate flyers for his Realtor friends, he found that he had a passion for real estate sales. In 2005, Cliff decided to obtain his real estate license in order to work as a Realtor part-time, while concurrently gaining successive levels of responsibility in his Engineering Leadership career. Along the way, he recognized the similarities in skill sets between some aspects of Engineering Management and Real Estate! Working with personnel, negotiation, and budgets in his Engineering role translated into client relationships, home transaction negotiation, and financing in his budding Real Estate career. Finally, in July 2014, Cliff made the transition to become a full-time Realtor. Now he is able to merge the skills he developed in Engineering Management with the skills obtained during his previous 9 years in Real Estate.
